The Rudds Arms in Middlesbrough was a design and build project for the locals division of Greene King. This was the second pilot site for a new concept we had been developing with Greene King, following on from the huge success of The Rock @ Cambridge.

The development brief was to improve the access from the car park, re-plan the internal space to try and eliminate any bottle necks, maximize the number of covers, but yet retain a split between the sports area and lounge.

By repositioning the bar counter, the toilets, the cellar and forming a new entrance from the car park, the existing site was transformed to meet all of the requirements of the clients brief, and double the number of covers within the existing site.
